Buying and selling

Market evaluation

An asking price alone does not show what a home will sell for. A market discussion needs the property details and relevant sales evidence. Send an enquiry with the address and explain whether you are preparing to sell or reviewing your options.

Start the conversation

  1. 01

    Identify the property

Share its address, property type and any changes you think affect its condition.

  2. 02

    Ask for the evidence

Discuss which comparable sales would be relevant and how they differ from the home.

  3. 03

    Review the assumptions

Ask about the date of the information and the limits of any estimate before relying on it.

Questions to bring

  • How similar are the selected properties in size, condition and location?
  • Are the comparisons asking prices or completed sales?
  • Do you need a formal appraisal for a lender or another specific purpose?
